Privacy Policy

How we handle the information you give us, and what we will never do with it.

1. Who we are

Privet is a private-beta software project building a local-first data protection proxy for individual professionals using cloud AI tools. This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through our website and waitlist form. The product itself is not yet generally available, and this policy will be supplemented with a separate end-user agreement when it is.

2. What we collect

When you submit our waitlist form, we collect:

  • Your name — for personalized outreach when your pilot wave opens.
  • Your email address — to confirm your signup and contact you about beta access.
  • Your professional role (e.g. accountant, financial advisor) — to prioritize pilot admissions.
  • Your firm size — to segment outreach and gauge our addressable market.
  • Your firm or company name — for context when we reach out.
  • Technical metadata — your browser's user-agent string and the page that referred you to our site. We use this only to debug form submissions and understand traffic sources at an aggregate level.

We do not collect any sensitive information beyond the above. We do not, at this stage, use cookies, advertising trackers, or behavioral analytics.

3. Why we collect it

The information you provide is used solely to:

  • Confirm receipt of your waitlist application via a transactional email;
  • Prioritize and notify you when your pilot wave opens;
  • Understand which professional categories and firm sizes are most interested in Privet so we can build the right product for them;
  • Communicate with you about the Privet product if and when you become a pilot user.

We do not sell your information. We do not use your information for advertising. We do not enrich your record with data from third-party data brokers.

4. Where your data lives

Your waitlist information is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database operated by Supabase in the United States. Transactional confirmation emails are sent through Resend. Our website is hosted by Vercel. These three subprocessors are bound by their own privacy and security commitments, which you can review on their websites.

We do not transfer your data to any other party.

5. How long we keep it

We retain your waitlist information until either (a) the Privet product launches and you become a customer, at which point a customer agreement supersedes this retention term, or (b) you request deletion. We will also delete the waitlist database in full if the project is wound down without launching.

6. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • Request a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • Correct any information that is inaccurate;
  • Request that we delete your record entirely;
  • Withdraw from the waitlist with no further communication.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@get-privet.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are a resident of the European Union, the United Kingdom, or a U.S. state with comprehensive privacy legislation (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and others), you have additional rights under those laws, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our basis for processing under GDPR Article 6(1)(a) is your consent, which you give by submitting the waitlist form, and which you may withdraw at any time.

7. Security

Your waitlist record is stored in a database with row-level security enabled, meaning the credentials embedded in our public website have permission only to add new entries — never to read, modify, or delete existing ones. Database administration is restricted to authenticated project members. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (managed by our database provider).

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever become aware of a data incident affecting your information, we will notify you within 72 hours of discovery.

8. Children

Privet is a professional tool. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please contact privacy@get-privet.com and we will remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy as the product evolves and additional services are added. Material changes will be communicated to existing waitlist members by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

10. Contact

For any question about this policy or about your data, contact the founding team at privacy@get-privet.com.
